It's a long time since Stradbroke won the village of the year competition. We seem to be good at coming 4th in recent times, but never higher. The Judges will be visiting Stradbroke on Jun 24th for a walk-about and to meet representatives of the village. They will pay a visit to the allotments, the church and perhaps one or two other locations. Then they will come to the Community Centre to meet village representatives. We aim to put on a static display in the club room of all that's good about Stradbroke. All clubs and societies are invited to submit representative material for the display and can come along to meet the Judges.

Either send material electronically to the Editors or give any hard copy to Margaret Streeter at Doggets Farm, New St. A display will be created in the Club room for the 24th June and representatives of organisations invited to come along, meet the judges at 3pm, and answer any questions they may have, either about your organisation or the village in general.

This is an ideal opportunity for the village to pull together and show everyone what a great place it is. There is so much going on and so many things to do, as well as excellent facilities. We should take pride in our village and put on such a display that the judges will be bowled over with enthusiasm about everything that is good about Stradbroke.
