Sudbury Tournament: July 3rd

Under 15s get their second trophy of the summer as runners-up in the Sudbury 5-aside Tournament . Against some very tough opposition, we lost in the final to Ransoms A. We won 3 and drew 2 en-route to the final, including a win over Fram Town in the last match before the play-offs. Well done to all the players especially Connor whose spectacular exploits in goal were applauded by all and kept us in with the running. We only scored 6 goals of which 5 came from Greeno and 1 from Sam. So our defense was the key to success

A warm welcome back to Smithy who had his first outing and has agreed to play for us again in the new season.

Stradbroke Tournament: June 25th

A weekend of two halves. Stradbroke won on the Saturday and the weather won on the Sunday. Saturday was a success in many ways - Jayne and Sharon were in the administration hut for the very first time and did an excellent job of managing all the scores, league tables, referees and keeping managers happy providing up to date league standings. Results for Stradbroke were a bit mixed but they all enjoyed the day. Congratulations to U15s, managed by Clive, for coming runners up in a very strong group including the favorites Witton and Wickham Market.
The second day was literally a wash-out and we apologise to all those younger footballers who could not take part because of water logged pitches

Well Done U13's

Congratulations to the U13s for becoming league champions today.... Stradbroke secured the title with a dramatic and hard fought game against a very good Thurston team...Stradbroke winning 4-1 with Jimbo Green netting all four goals for Stradbroke ,taking his total tally to 59 for the season, and finishing as the league top scorer for 2 consecutive seasons..Oli Brown got the player of the match for his constant battling in midfield..massive well done to all the team and a big thank you to all the parents for their commitment and to all the committee for doing  the hard work in the background. Without all of you there would be no club....many thanks from all the U13s
