The SSCC AGM will be taking place on Tuesday, September 13th at 7.30pm at the Community Centre and all are welcome to attend.
SSCC has recently gained a CIO status and have been seeking new nominated trustees who form the main committee and have overall responsibility for the facilities. If you would like to become a trustee please contact us for further details.
Volunteers
The Community Centre relies on volunteers to be involved and allow it to continue as a thriving facility in Stradbroke. A volunteer could be someone who wants to use the facility for a particular group or activity. They may be someone who is willing to help behind the bar or setting up for the cinema or simply coming along to help put up the Christmas decorations. If you have specific skills to assist with basic plumbing, electrical or IT you would also be invaluable to the team. You may have ideas for widening its use and improving what we offer. A volunteer does not have the responsibility of a trustee and does not have to attend any meetings but to join the band of helpers who keep this facility alive and open for everyone in Stradbroke to use.
If you do have some spare time or interest in getting involved in our community please do contact us for more details. Any voluntary help no matter how small plays a vital part and you will receive a warm welcome from us.
