Cinema – Belfast 12A
June 16, 2022 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
A deeply personal project for the writer/director, Kenneth Branagh, this film charts the path of a nine year old boy towards adulthood in a world that has turned upside down. His stable, loving community and everything he thought he understood about life is changed forever but joy, laughter, music and the magic of films remain. This is an unabashed feel-good memoir of growing up in Belfast as the Troubles erupted in the late 1960s with outstanding performances from Judi Dench, Ciaran Hinds and Jamie Dornan but the main accolade goes to Jude Hill as Buddy. A superstar in the making.
Doors open at 7.30pm. Licensed bar and Ice Creams on sale in the interval. Adults £5.50, 16s and under £3.00
