A widowed cleaning lady in 1950s London falls madly in love with a couture Dior gown and must have one. After much struggling, she embarks on an adventure to Paris where not only does she change but also the House of Dior. This is a celebration of both beauty and the importance of cherishing those special things in life. An unabashed froth of a film where we cheer on the exceptional Lesley Manville as the cleaner against a backdrop of exploitation, decay and corruption.
