A fresh, funny and utterly charming spin on the Dickens’ classic. A vivacious adaptation extracting the brilliance of the author’s style and humour and abandoning the melodrama. Dev Patel gives a gorgeous performance as David and we are all swept away by the energy, the fun and the warmth of the story.
No better film to shrug off the gloom of the lockdown.
