The Stradbroke Trust welcomes two new Trustees – Louise Smith and Richard Alexandre. They join Roger Turkington, Mike Grigg, Peter Smith and Jane Merritt.

The Trust owns and maintains the Village Gardens off Drapers Hill, which includes the Orchard, Allotments, Woodland and Pond. The rent the Stradbroke Trust receives from the Allotment Holders goes towards the hedge and grass cutting in the area.

Any surplus is then used, in line with our Charitable Objectives, for the wellbeing of Stradbroke residents plus residents served by the Stradbroke Surgery. In the past The Trust has supported individuals, schools and organisations, including the Fressingfield Scouts, Wilby School, the MUGA at the High School. It also led and funded the project to improve drainage on the playing field, the fitness track and storage shed as well as the permissive path to the cemetery. These are now maintained by the Parish Council.

If you know of anyone or an organisation who may benefit from a grant rom the Stradbroke Trust, please contact Jane Merritt – [email protected]. / 01379 388 382.
